Ending Youth Homelessness

THE COVE

OUR MISSION is to provide a safe place for youth experiencing homelessness to access the resources they need to thrive.

HOUSING SOLUTIONS | MEALS | TUTORING | HYGIENE ITEMS | RENT ASSISTANCE | ATTENDANCE/CREDIT RECOVERY

Meet Jovan

Jovan, aged 17, and his mom lived in their home for nearly a decade.

Unfortunately, a bursted pipe resulted in an extremely expensive electric bill. As his mom attempted to catch up on the electricity bill, she got behind on rent. Long story short, Jovan and his mom were eventually evicted and found themselves with no where to go.

“Where am I going to put all my stuff? My house had everything we own and I can’t afford a storage unit,” says Jovan’s mom.

Unfortunately, The Cove wasn’t able to assist with their belongings, but we were able to pay for two weeks in a hotel. In the meantime, we’re searching for long-term housing for Jovan and his mom.

In the Heart of Texas Region, there are over 700 teenagers experiencing homelessness.

Others like Jovan

Youth are fleeing sexual, physical, or verbal abuse, have family members struggling with addiction, overcrowding under one roof, or getting kicked out for being a part of the LGBTQ community.

When you donate to The Cove, you’re supporting young people who truly need assistance. Everyone deserves a chance at success and they need your support!
